| What is the Hindu-Jewish Dialogue All About? It is a demographic fact that no two identifiable communities so resemble one another as Jewish-Americans and Asian-Americans. Both small groups are heavily represented in our universities, in medicine and the professions, and in entrepreneurial business (especially but not exclusively the dotcoms). As Jews and Hindus increasingly rub shoulders in the workplace and in comfortable neighborhoods, a natural curiosity about one another has emerged. The recent space shuttle tragedy, which took the lives of a Jew and a Hindu among others, crystallized the two communities’ mutual recognition in their shared moment of grief.
